Fantastic new venue revealed
The new venue for the race this year is The Waterside Tea Garden & Bistro. Located in Mill Road opposite the Castle this is a prime spot for the event, offering riverside seating, home cooked food and a licensed tea garden.
Sam and Gillian, the new owners, are rapidly building a reputation for outstanding food, great wines and warm hospitality, and are really looking forward to hosting the Bath Tub Race. They have refurbished the old Arundel Boatyard, and created a cosy and homely tea garden with an almost retro feel.
Sam is a chef of some renown having been invited to join the World Master Chefs Society and cooked for members of the Royal family. Serving locally sourced produce, The Bistro is becoming one of Arundel’s most popular eating venues, and I am sure Sam will be proud to add cooking for ‘tubbers’ to his many other accolades!
Gillian is no stranger to fun and games, having run an events business and even catered for Shane Richie’s 40th birthday party!
So have no fear tubbers, we are in good hands this year and the event is set to expand.
