Check out the great new venue for 2014!
This year the Bathtub Race has moved from Arundel to a venue with better facilities than ever.
Steeped in bath race history, the RNLI slipway in Littlehampton used to host over 120 teams each year (yes really!) and sees paddle powered mayhem return on Sunday August 24th.
Immediately adjacent the Harbour Lights Bistro offers a mouth-watering menu, is licensed (for diners only), and has a patio with a grandstand view of the race. I can personally vouch for their freshly caught fish and the chicken and bacon melt too! Fresh crab or lobster salad is also a speciality here as you may imagine.
Just next door the Look & Sea Centre houses the official visitor information centre for the area. It features a fantastic 360 ° viewing tower offering views from Goodwood to Highdown near Worthing, as well as many items of historical interest relating to the harbour.
Only a few steps away The Empress lounge and wine bar caters for drinkers and diners equally. You could spend hours in here just checking out their vintage photos of musicians and movie stars. Don’t miss their ever changing displays by local artists too!
Looks like a good day out to me!
